FITNESS ROUND - 40% of Score

Judges look for high-energy routines that demonstrate athletic co-ordination, style, personality and overall performance. Routines may include dance, gymnastics, cheer, aerobics, fitness and/or other displays of exceptional athletic talent.

Contestants should attempt to construct diverse routines with high degrees of complexity and difficulty, demonstrating elements of flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, strength, creativity and showmanship.
Though there are no specific athletic or strength moves required, contestants should demonstrate a high level of execution of movements, including full extension. Only the athletic skills in which a contestant has experience, should be incorporated as the routine should appear effortless.

Costumes will be judged as well during the Fitness Round, so special attentions should be given. No G-string or thong-type costumes may be worn unless athletic apparel or tights are worn underneath, and tennis shoes or athletic shoes must be worn.
Props are allowed but must be approved by pageant officials at least two weeks in advance of the performance.
Routines may not exceed two minutes and once begun cannot be repeated.
Music must be professional recorded for maximum performance and audience & judges impression.

SWIMSUIT ROUND - 40% of Score

Contestants should have good to excellent muscle tone with clean, tight lines. She should appear to have reasonable levels of body fat.

Physiques should look as if they were constructed through proper diet and fitness training. Physiques should appear evenly developed, displaying attention to a totally fit body.

The contestant's great legs with lean thighs should "match" their beautifully sculpted arms and slender waist to create a very feminine appearance.
The Fitness Pageant is not associated with any bodybuilding organization.
Therefore, physical definition and excessive muscular development will be penalized.
Remember we subscribe to "the glorious fulfillment of the female body".

Judges will also analyse body shape, tone, symmetry, complexion, poise and presentation, in essence your "overall condition." Contestants will be judged individually and in-group comparisons. G-sting or thong type swimsuits are prohibited.

INTERVIEW ROUND - 20 % of Score

Each contestant will answer a question regarding her background, outlook about various aspects of life and attitudes concerning health and fitness lifestyles.
Spontaneous answers should be given, as each contestant is judged on her public address skills.
The contestant must demonstrate confidence and be comfortable with an audience.
The contestant must be able to speak clearly and concisely, as "Ms. Island Fitness" must be a capable spokesperson for the fitness industry should the opportunity arise.
Judges will be looking for articulate, concise, intelligent and thought proving responses.
"Ms Island Fitness" is much more than just a pretty face or a beautiful body.
"Ms Island Fitness" must convince the judges, that she has an important message to convey about her experience and preparation or living a healthy lifestyle, in addition to showing poise and grace under stress.
